Wild Root, InterArtist Jen Haefeli

Jen Haefeli is an InterArtist, advocate, and educator based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jen’s work is sold in galleries and museums, with pieces available directly through her website. Exhibitions are announced through her social platforms.

Jen is the owner of Wild Root Creations®. She has been partnered with nonprofit organizations since 2008, utilizing her work to assist with fundraising for educational initiatives, women’s health, nutrition programs, and agronomy in Haiti. She serves on the board of Harvest 107 in Port au Prince. Stateside, Jen works with the American Heart Association, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, and United Way. She is the PR Co-Chair for the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), and the Managing Digital Editor of NAWA NOW magazine. She serves as the 1st Vice President of the Pennsylvania Chapter, and. she serves on the board of the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh. Jen is also member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, the Dayton Society of Artists, the Anthropology of Motherhood, and the Women’s Caucus of Art.

Jen was the first graduate from the InterArts program at George Mason University and was the recipient of the annual award from the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Cultivating Impact

Wild Root Creations is a collective of Jen Haefeli’s work, deeply rooted in both art and advocacy. Much of her work is non-profit, reflecting her desire to give back and support others’ stories. Jen serves on the board of Harvest107, a Haiti-based non-profit focused on sustainable gardening and education.

Having spent years working with similar organizations, she believes educating and empowering farmers and students worldwide perfectly complements her artistic mission. As Jen often says, “You can’t ever take away an education,” emphasizing her commitment to agronomy and supporting small, independent farms.
