Creative York a 501-c3 located in York, Pennsylvania is dedicated to reaching thousands of creatives annually. This fantastic organization has been open for the past thirty years and is the home of the Kerlin Gallery,
A very good friend of mine owns our local Kolor-N-Kiln Pottery Studio. We have the kind of friendship that leaves off and picks right back up as if we haven’t missed a day in between. She’s a kindred spirit, and I’m so thankful to have our lives cross paths.
I have been working on building my local creative network for the past couple of years, and the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh (AAP) is one of the newer organizations that I’ve become a member of.
I am a proud member of Harvest107, an organization working to fight food insecurity in rural and food-barren areas of the world like Haiti. We partner with organizations working to build modern organic urban gardens, providing nutrition to underserved communities, as well as sustainable education options and hands-on training in permaculture techniques.
The Night of Steel, November 5, 2022, a Gala event benefitting the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation was a wonderful opportunity for the heart series I create to make a debut in Pittsburgh. The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is one I’ve personally benefitted from, and I hope to continue to contribute to the work they do for some time to come. I deeply appreciate the work of the foundation, and the community of doctors, nurses, and advocates working for a cure! It felt befitting to create a piece filled with love for the event auction.
