Description
Leading Lady Jane Addams was a political activist, an advocate, an author, a social worker, a lecturer, a social and community reformer, a public administrator, a sociologist, a community organizer, and a suffragist who became a peace activist. She advocated for world peace and she became the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Jane truly lived an incredible life. She was a co-founder of the NAACP, and a founding member of the National Chid Labor Committee who was the first female President of the National Conference of Charities and Corrections. Learn more about this as well as an officer in the National American Women’s Suffrage Association.
